| Whatever you say, watching ADS in the middle of a film like Taste of Cherry today on on UTV World Movies was bad experience.....even though it was a brilliant film. |

| lol...well my problem is that I forget to pee...hence the ads shall just remind me - coz I shall have to do something productive whilst the ads come !!! |

If we are talking about a usual hollywood blockbuster on TV, it doesn't matter if it has ads in every ten minutes. But in case of a quality cinema by say tsai ming liang or pedro almodvar or abbas kiarostami or aki kurismaki or lars von trier etc...these films are a sort of journey in time, when that time and flow has been disturbed by chopping the films into ten pieces for ads, the film will lose its OVERALL IMPACT on the audience.....thus defeat the purpose of a channel for quality cinema.
This is a serious issue channels should take into consideration.
Apparently in France it is government law that prevent channel from showing and within films!!
...and vinay, if you have to pee every ten minutes....then you may have to see a doctor:)

Frankly I wouldn't ever like to watch a ad...however, these theres no such thing as a free lunch - these guys also have to earn !!!
If nothing else, it reminds me to go and pee.... |

Since NDTV is working on the tv channel for world cinema, this could be a good subject to discuss.
Do any one like to see ads in the middle of a beautiful film.
In my opinion i can't even think of ads appearing in the middle of a kim ki duk film like 3 Iron... |
